Right Console

The right console in the A-4E carries the navigation set, the flight-control system panels, and the engine / systems controls — Doppler nav, autopilot, flap handle, engine control, and the ECM panel.

Panel groups

  • Navigation — AN/APN-153 Doppler, ASN-41 Nav Computer, ARC-51 UHF Radio
  • Flight Controls — AFCS / Autopilot Control (and its Test panel), Flap Handle
  • Engine & Systems — Engine Control Panel, ECM Panel

Navigation group — schematics under way

The Navigation group is the first under construction: all three sub-panels — the APN-153 Doppler, ASN-41 Nav Computer, and ARC-51 UHF Radio — now have ERC-clean schematics. CAD, backlighting, and PCB layout are still to come. The Flight Controls and Engine & Systems groups are scoped but not yet designed.
